Dear Frieda,

I’m a newlywed with a problem. My in-laws flew in for our wedding, but I barely saw them with all the pre-ceremony chaos. Now, six months later, my husband and I are staying at their house for a week-long visit. Here’s my dilemma: my mother-in-law has invited me to accompany her to a luncheon with a group of her friends. Now, I’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, but my hubby tells me that these ladies dress up! What should I wear?

Dear Casual Type,

Most females who go about in jeans and t-shirt are interested in comfort. I’m happy to tell you that it is possible to wear a nice dress and still experience that same level of easy relaxation. You just need the right dress, and this Frieda Original is perfect for you! The color is understated, but with a discreetly cheerful pattern, and the blouson-style top is modest and roomy…as close as possible to a baggy t-shirt. You can feel confident that the length won’t shock any of your mother-in-law’s friends, or embarrass the lady herself. At the same time, you’re young! You don’t need to cover up like an elderly matron! The side slit allows a subtle flash of leg, and the died-feather trim at the neckline gives the outfit pizzazz. Believe me, my dear, when you walk in the door, all eyes will be on you; and everyone will be impressed with your fresh, youthful appearance!

Signed,

Frieda
