1. California has the most registered cats in the United States. California has about 18,900 cats, followed by New York with around 10,000 and Texas with nearly 9,700.

2. A survey in New York City says the biggest complaint from non-dog owners about dog owners is not picking up after their dogs. This complaint won with almost half the votes of the surveyed.

IMG_79623. This same survey showed only thirteen percent complained over nuisance barking. I’ve never had that complaint against me. Just nuisance howling, which is totally different.

4. Interestingly enough four percent complained that dog owners are “too fond” of their dogs, including the use of baby talk when speaking to their dog, is what they find most annoying.

5. The Bulldog is the most popular dog in California. That’s why I decided to live in this state, I have less dogs of my own kind to compete with for attention!

6. Twenty two percent of non-dog owners are pooch-less because they believe it to be too much responsibility.

7. There are approximately 60,000,000 stray cats living on the street of The United States alone.

8. In a survey dog owners were more likely to be described as laid back and happy compare to non-dog owners.

9. Although in that same survey dog owners were found to be less likely to be described as being organized.

10. The most popular breed of cat in The United States is the Domestic Shorthair, followed by the American Shorthair, then the Domestic Medium Hair, then the Domestic Long Hair, and holding the fifth place position is the Siamese cat.
